Flydubai flight from Dubai to Nepal diverted to Lucknow due to bad weather

Flydubai flight FZ1165 landed safely at Lucknow airport after adverse weather conditions at Pokhara forced the diversion; authorities said there was no emergency.

Lucknow: A flydubai flight to Nepal's Pokhara from Dubai in the UAE was diverted to Lucknow due to adverse weather conditions Monday evening, airport authorities here said.

"Flydubai flight FZ 1165, operating from Dubai (DXB) to Pokhara (PHH), was diverted to Lucknow International Airport due to adverse weather conditions at the destination airport," the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport said in a statement.

The aircraft, A6-FMU (Boeing 737 MAX 8), landed safely at Lucknow airport at 18:53 hours, it added.

"The diversion was solely due to bad weather conditions at the destination. This was not an emergency landing, and there was no emergency involving the aircraft. The aircraft made a normal and safe landing at Lucknow airport," the statement read.
